The man of the European final day in Sofia was indubitable Russia's Denis ABLIAZIN: The title holder on vault from Moscow 2013 not only defended his title successfully, but he beat the former world champion on floor, Greeces Eleftherios Kosmidis and he won his third gold medal on still rings, together with his teammate Alexander BALANDIN. Thus, Russia raked in most titles on the final day. But with the most valuable and best performance of the day shone again a Brit:
Olympic bronze medalist Max WHITLOCK has been crowned European pommel horse champion with the highest score of these Europeans: with 7.3 difficulty he scored 16,166 points and he directed the Olympic and world Champion Krisztian BERKI from Hungary impressive on second place!

Britain’s junior gymnasts have won four gold and four silver medals on the final day of the 36th Men's European Championships in Sofia.
Nile WILSON was the star taking the pommel, parallel bars and high bar titles, with Giarnni REGINI-MORAN taking floor gold and vault silver, Brinn Bevan rings and parallel bars silver and Jay Thompson floor silver. A little sensation wa the gold medal on still rings, which was won by the historical first Austrian athlet, Vinzenz HOECK from Graz for his most difficult performance.

The results confirm Britain’s greatest ever junior European championships. The medals are added to the team gold and all-around gold (Nile Wilson) and bronze (Brinn Bevan) from earlier in the championships.

Great Britain's men's team leads the qualification with the highest team total on floor, pommel horse and high bar.
Russia scored the highest total of all events with a huge 46.399 on still rings. They also topped on vault, but the Ukraine was the best on parallel bars. Great Britain*s men's team had few mistakes which is crucial to the 3-up 3-count scoring system, but also Russia had some mistakes and will look to better their performance on Saturday in the team final. If they want to close the gap of almost 3 points they can't afford any mistakes. Surprises: weak showing by German team advancing only as 7th to team final and only Hambuechen on high bar in event finals. Strong performance by Dutch team: First time they advance to team finals. Also qualified to vault, parallel bars and high bar event finals, but this year Switzerland missed the final and came on a unlucky place 9 only ...
