Adrian Stoica also occupies the top position of the International Men's Technical Committee of the F.I.G..
Marius Urzica didn't get a position as a vice-president either.

Former gymnast Simona Amanar and Dan Grecu, the men's Olympic team coach, were chosen for the positions. Still, Urzica will be active in the federation as a member of the Executive Committee.

Modern conditions on top level
The new hall has several landing pits and longe systems and ofcourse all the compettion apparatus for gymnastics.

All the equipment for the hall and the installation of the equiment in the hall was done by specialist from the Ductch company Janssen-Fritsen Gymnastics, which was also the supplier of the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.

Intl. Gymnast wrote, that in Plano, manual score flashers were used, as the software for the gym's electronic scoreboard does not yet recognize the higher scores of the new Code. (The 10.000 on pommel horse by Houston Gymnastics Academy's Sean Ames placed him 29th on the event.)

Born on January 26th 1962 in Barcelona, Andreas began gymnastics at the age of 14 only! 8 times German Champion on rings and (Western-) Germany All-around Champion in 1987, he is above all crowned World Champion at rings in 1989 in Stuttgart!
Elected “Sportsman of the Year” in 1989 in Germany (- former FRG), this gymnast had a beautiful sports career. At the same time he studied Graphic Arts in Hannover and in 1990, he opened his own Graphic Studio and specialized in sports advertising.

The women's competition programme will contain, for the seniors and the juniors competition I (qualifications), competition IV (team finals) and competition III (apparatus finals).

The Men’s championships will be held one week after the Women’s EC. We are undoubtedly moving towards a participation record with 39 federations present out of 47. 31 countries will be present with a full team.
The competition format for the seniors and the juniors is the same as for the women’s competitions: competition I (qualifications), competition IV (team finals), competition III (apparatus finals).
The 2006 European championships are of particular importance as they are the first international competitions organized according to the new FIG Code of points. In particular, due to the incidents that occurred in Athens, the FIG had postponed the coming into force of the code of points artistic gymnastics in order to review the texts.
Consequently, the intercontinental judges courses were postponed too and will be held mid-December in Leipzig (MAG) and Chiba/Tokyo (WAG).
The European competitions will allow to make a first statement of the new rules to be applied.

'He is feeling according to the circumstances. His condition is stable but he still is in intensive care', mentioned his wife Sabine Köste yesterday.
The former world-class athlete collapsed in a gym in Leipzig. Luckily a doctor quickly was present and he was rushed to hospital.
Klaus Köste is still active in senior gymnastics and also as coach.
'Meanwhile he was responsive and we hope that he made it now', said his wife Sabine.

... an amazingly Malaysian Talent
NG, Shu Wai (21), who is currently the world's ninth ranked artistic gymnast, won three personal golds at the at the recently concluded Sea Games in Manila, sweeping the All-around, floor exercise and high bar as well as a fourth in a team event.

In the process he became the first Malaysian male athlete to win more than two golds in gymnastics in the Sea Gamnes.

At the 38th World Championships in Melbourne NG, Shu Wa was the first Malaysian in an all-around final and ranked on 22nd place.
