Rosu and Eremia resume training

Yesterday, after 3 months of involuntary time-out due to interdicted training (being given a “negative for training and competition” status) by reason of persisting spinal problems and consequentially missed Europeans, the country’s National Institute for Sports Medicine (INMS) allowed Olympic team and vaulting Champion Monica Rosu and Olympic team Champion and beam finalist Alexandra Eremia to resume training.
The National Institute for Sports Medicine (INMS) in Bucharest is in charge of the athletes health and an institution, all Romanian gymnasts and athletes have to go to for regular checkups being examined by a medical commission of expert-physicians
Alexandra Eremia will join the other team members shortly together with Floarea Leonida.
Eremia and Leonida are at present both in the 12th grade of the Cetate Sports high school in Deva and will go for their school-leaving certificates in the upcoming school leaving examinations starting on Monday, June 27.
However prior to and along with gradually increasing technical training both gymnasts will undergo a light physical fitness program that will focus primarily on re-putting up muscle mass and losing the considerable weight both gymnast have gained during their absence from competitive gymnastics.
