The Gymnastics Federation of Luxemburg announced, that the Hungarian Mr. Laszlo NEMETH is the new national coach for the women's team of Luxemburg.
Nemeth came from Budapest and worked there as a coach from 1983 on.
At last he was trainer of women's team of JDSE Budapest. In history he also coached Robert Gal...

Cottbus Tournament saved...

Cottbus Tournament director Silio KROLL said this morning, that the 'TOURNAMENT of MASTERS 2003', is saved now, through the taking over of the financel difference of 18,500 EURO by a local partner.
The world cup tournament will take place at March 21 - 23 in the new venue 'LAUSITZ ARENA'.
Gymnasts fom 18 nations, inclusive USA, announced there coming (update today).

Today morning the both last German Olympic Champions of artistic gymnastics, the champion on rings Holger BEHRENDT (Seoul 1988) and high bar champion Andreas WECKER (Atlanta 1996) signed the 'APPEAL for PEACE of German Sportsmen'.

DeThe Austrian Gymnastics Federation OEFT jubilates: To the first time the Aistrians are among the best 8 European nations at the 2nd European Team Champs', which will be held in May 3 -4 in Moscow. The reason is the retirement of France, Netherlands, Czech Republic and Latvia. So host Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Italy, Bulgaria, Great Britain and Hungary are the qualified nations.
The last host of the 1st European Champs 2001 in Riesa Germany (7th place) is no more under the top 12 nations, now.
(Qualified after the results of artistic and rhythmic Euro Champs 2002)

Strong French Team

A part of French National Team that is preparing for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, utilized the French Federation's training camp in New Caledonia to conduct an unofficial competition (4 Gymnasts) with a team from the Australian Gymnastics Federation.
The gymnasts from France defeated the gymnasts from the fifth continent with 165,80 to 157,90 points. Benoit Caranobe (FRA) was the best in all-around....
