'APOLLO Diagonal',
an absolutely new System!!

According to new FIG regulations only 2 kind of springboards are allowed to be used, one hard and one soft kind of board:

So Janssen&Fritsen is introducing the blue 'softer' sprinboard 'IRIS' (soft)

and the red 'harder' springboard 'KREON' (hard) to be selected by the athletes. Both boards have major improvements in the sense of modern gymnastics development.

Depending on the weight and athletic conditions or the choice of vault group (e.g. round-off- or handspring vault) the athletes now have a better individual choice according to their sportive demands..

The first Winner in Cottbus: The Hotels!

World Cup as an economical Factor !
The managements of the top hotels in Cottbus are very happy this year about the situation one week before: They are sell off already!!
More than 170 participants and about 2,000 accomodations.... that's a doubble new record in the long history of this European tournament.
So this world cup is a real economical factor now in the area of Lausitz, an area with a lot of gravely economical problems! This good situation is also a success of the organizing team, leading by the tournament director Sylvio Kroll, the former world class athlet and vice-world champion in the Eighties, a complex new marketing strategy and also preserve meda partnerships...

- Cottbus is also the hometown of the German Team Master 2003, the
