Titleholder wins International Niederrhein-Cup- GYMfamily Event -

At the XII. INTERNATIONAL NIEDERRHEIN-CUP 2008 in Kempen with 248 competitors in 8 classes from 6 countries and 50 federations, the titleholder  "Castilla la mancha Federation" from Spain with 217,3 points in front of the Frankfurt Flyers (216,4) and the Turncentrum Sportstadt Heerenveen (213,7). The competition was held with 17 young teams and the Spanish titleholders  started with Cristina Sainz Bernabeu (59,4 points), Angel Hernandez Recalde (58,9), Ines Garcia Dominguez (53,0) and Alvaro Rovira Martinez (46,0).

PREVIEW: 12th International Niederrhein-Cup 2008- GYMfamily-Event -

International Opening of Trampoline Season ...
According to the chief organiser of the INTERNATIONAL NIEDERRHEIN-CUP 2008, Ulla HUPPERTZ, the 12th run of the traditional trampoline competition is overbooked already now, although it only takes place in one month.
The maximum capacity of about 250 competitions maximum has been reached already.
To the international opening of the trampoline season 2008 the organisers expect teams from six countries...

2008: A Trampoline World Cup Final for the last time

This year's 9th World Cup Final of Trampoline Gymnastics in Togliatti (RUS) from September 19 - 20, will be held for the very last time:
As per the FIG Council's decision, taken in Orlando (USA) in 2007, and in response to a proposal by its Technical Committee, Trampoline will no longer be organising a final as of the next cycle. The discipline will hold a world championship on an annual basis, however, with the exception of Olympic years.

Qatar Gymnastic Federation hosted F.I.G. Coaches Academy

The Qatar Gymnastics Federation hosted its very first Academy for Trampoline Gymnastics Level 1 in Doha in early December.
Although it was a first for Trampoline, it was also the 34th Academy overall, overlapping with an Artistic Gymnastics Academy in Peru (35th) and an Aerobics Academy in Mexico (36th).

Good Luck Invitational 2007: Chinese and Ukrainian winners at Trampoline Pre-Olympics

At last the reigning world champion YE, Shuai from China grabbed the gold medal of the men's trampoline final decision at the last of three final days, together with artistic gymnastics.
