Johanna QUAAS (GER) is living proof that age is just a number as the 92-year-old grandmother is still competing as the world’s oldest gymnast.
Quaas, who was born in Germany (1925), took part in her first gymnastics competition at the age of 10 and has been hooked on the sport ever since.
An event in Singapore's Convention Center last week, Quaas amazed an audience with a routine on the parallel bars which showcased her incredible body strength and balance, but also with a special program of "bed gymnastics" for people who did not find the way into a sports hall ...
‘I do gymnastics to avoid being susceptible to falls and that is a good preventive tool,’ she said in an interview with The Straits Times
