1st GOLDEN AGE GYM FESTIVAL 2005 - Sign up NOW...!

A great idea is beeing accomplished by the Europeean Gymnastics-Union:
For active people in their ''best years, age 50 PLUS'' - and those who want to become that, will beth first so called ''Golden Age GYM Festival'' on the vacatinisland of the ''everlasting spring'' Gran Canaria from 2005, November 20 - 25.
Next to the great choice of the eventlocation, the city Maspalomas at the southern peak of the Spanish Island picked the UEG the same Organisation Committee that plans since over 40 years the ''Blume Gran Canaria Festival'' which will be held for the 45th time right after the ''Golden Age Festival'' this year...
Gymmedia INTERNATIONAL is the online partner of the BLUME Festival organisation since years and supports this festival with the current downloads

The European Gymnastics Union UEG picked for the organisation of the 1. GOLDEN AGE FESTIVAL 2005'' no one less than the, since over 40 years great Organisation Committee of the worldwide wellknown ''Blume Gran Canaria Festival'' which will be held this year right afterwards for the 45th time.

The Organisation Committee around Jesus Telo sen. & jun. presented themselves during the International German Gymnastics Festival this year in Berlin with their own Info stall.

Blume Festival 2004 finished with big success

Festival with heart!
A highlight of the different shows and events of the BLUME Gran Canaria Festival 2004 were the sports acrobats from Berlin/ Germany of the club TuS Hellersdorf. With their beautiful acrobatics show they are also ambassadors of another large general gymnastics event which takes place next year, the International German Gymnastics Festival 2005 in Berlin.
Included in a performance of wheelchair- dancers from Munich (GER) together with German junior gymnasts from Cottbus were greetings of the 7,500 Blume- participants to Ronny Ziesmer in Berlin...

... only a few days left until the beginning of the BLUME FESTIVAL

Participants from more than 20 countries currently prepare for the 44th BLUME FESTIVAL Gran Canaria from November 27th until December 5th on the “Island of everlasting spring”.
Among the German participants will be Nico Gärtner, 3rd-ranked at the trampoline World Championships (DMT), and GWG-Cup winner in men’s artistic gymnastics Philipp Boy (both from the club SC Cottbus)....

Novelty
On Saturday, Nov. 27th at 8:30 in the Salon de Actos of the Festival-Hotel “Beverly Parc” will be held a seminar in preparation of the “1st INTERNATIONALEN GOLDEN AGE FESTIVAL” which will be started in 2005.
It is an idea of Blume- organiser and UEG TC- member for general gymnastics, Jesus TELO, which he recently presented at the EUROGYM in Jyväskylä/ Finland. Representatives of various European Gymnastics Federations will take part in it.

Presentations by groups from all over the World will be shown in Maspalomas

TV- marketing of the Festival
Furthermore a collaboration with the Canary TV-production “Mediareport” in co-operation with GYMmedia-TV will be started in order to bring the TV- pictures to a World-wide market.
For this a meeting will be held in the town hall with the respective partners of the UEG, like the TC- president for general gymnastics Jeanette Häusler, the town councillors Benito Perez and Jaime Bouzan as well as representatives of the tourism branch of the international holiday- center Maspalomas.

First TV- reports will follow on Monday, December 2nd, in the Plaza de Maspalomas with colourful show- programs as overview about the presentations by the participants from all over the World.

BLUME-GRAN CANARIA 2004 and...
1st GOLDEN AGE 2005

At the 4th EUROGYM in Jyväskylä, Finland (11-15 July) with 2,150 young gymnasts from 21 European gymnastics federations the Organizing Committee of BLUME GRAN CANARIA presented not only the '44th Festival with Heart 2004', but also the '1st GOLDEN AGE Maspalomas 2005', which will held in 2005, November 21 - 26 at the 'Island of the Eternal Spring', Gran Canaria. This new interest event for active people at the best age of '+50' ywears is a strong component of the general gymnastics event calendar of UEG, now.

EUROGYM is the largest and one of the most important events of the UEG.
With a programme especially designed for young gymnasts, it is an privileged instrument to offer them enthusiastic activities and to motivate them to practice general gymnastics.

It was a very long day with a full program on the Island of Gymnastics Gran Canaria:
In the morning started the Team Gymnastics competitions on the Campus of the University of Las Palmas
and in the evening was held the third 'Maspalomas Night Show' in the center of this holiday paradise, but the top was a special 'Gymnastics Midnight Show' in the Millenium Bar of the Hotel Beverly Park in Maspalomas- Playa del Ingles....

The third 'Maspolomas Night' in the center of the holiday paradise was a full success again, and the sports secretary of Maspalomas, Senior Benito P?rez Franco was very satisfied, that all the hundreds of tourists and guests from all over the world came to visit this gymnastics show of the BLUME organizers.
Specially the DAKO Flying Angels' from Nottingham, Great Britain were one of the many highligt of this very dynamic evening...
... but after than started the 'Beverly Park Show in the Mellenium Bar, yet...!

BLUME Gran Canaria 2003 is opend!

WEdnesday evening the 43rd BLUME Gran Canaria Festival was opened with a big ceremony in Las Palmas.
More than 750 participants from 7 of the 12 nations took part and celebratated a colorful show. So the biggest Canarian newspaper 'La Provincia' reported on the first site with a big photo of the gymnasts of the Canarian island Lanzarote.
Also the German 'ambassadors' of the coming 'International German Gymnastics Festival Berlin 2005', the COSMIC ARTISTS took part with a great air track show...

43rd BLUME Gran Canaria 2003: Festival with Heart

From November 22 to November 30 took place the 43rd Festival of General Gymnastics, Blume Gran Canaria'. More than 7,500 guests from 12 different countries and three continents visited the 'Island of Eternal Spring' and took part in the different shows and events in any cities, villages and places of Gran Canaria (Spain).
The 'Blume Festival' was founded in memory of the most successful Spanish gymnast of the last century, JOAQUIM BLUME (4-times European Champion of artistic gymnastics, Paris 1956), who was deadly failed by an aircraft crash in 1959.

One of the first guests...
... were the group from 'Camperwell Gymnastics Club' from a London's suburb, a traditional guest of Blume festival in the last years.
<< Also the German rhythmic gymnastics group from the club 'RSG Saar' was one of the first guests this week.
The girls from Saarbruecken (GER) with their Bulgarian coach Rositsa Dimitrova are the current German Junior-Vice-Champion 2003 of rhythmic gymnastics (groups).
