At the beginning of the final day of these worlds in Birmingham China started with a next double success: YANG, Song, won gold and his teammate ZHANG, Luo, the wilver medal in the tumbling final. Bronze went to the Russian Andrei KRYLOV. Also on women's side the winner came from top nation China: JIA, Fangfang was the golden girl, but long-time star of this discipline, Russia's Anna KOROBEJNIKOWA won the silver medal this time.  Anzhelika SOLDATKINA (RUS) prevented with bronze a next Chinese medal. Next Chinese gold were won by the synchro duo TU, Xiao / DONG, Dong.
Without Chineses in the Double minitramp final finally Russia also won Gold:
Svetlana BALANDINA in front of  Bianca ZOONEKYND (RSA) und Russia's  Victoria VORONINA  (RUS), and last but not least Olympic Champion HE, Wenna (CHN) won gold in the Olympic King's class ...

At the third day of the  28th Trampoline World Championships 2011 the Chinese men dominated on trampline: Olympic champion LU, Chunlong won the gold medal in front of the two times world champion and titleholder DONG, Dong, followed by the Japanese Masaki ITO.
The 38 years old Olympic champion (2004, Athens), Anna DOGONADZE and her partner Jessica SIMON won the gold medal in women's  synchronizing for Germany. Silver went to the Canadian duo Rosannagh McLENNAN / Karen COCKBURN. On third place came the Brits Kat DRISCOLL / Amanda PARKER.
On DMT Portugal won the women's team title, on men's side the gold medal went to Canada.
Chinese women and men were the winner of the tumbling team event.

From 10 am to 3.15 pm local time at first this Friday the men's and women's qualifications of Double Minitramp and Tumbling was on the timetable of the second day of these Trampoline Worlds.
At the evening (6.30 pm) the British host celebrated  the official opening ceremony. After than, at 7 pm (local time) started the first finals of these worlds: the Women's Team Final and one hour later the Men's Team-Final.
Anything but victories of Chinese women's and men's teams would be a "big wounder of Birmingham", because the Chinese favourite situation is more than overwhelming: Indead - the first gold medal of these Worlds went to the Chines women's Trampoline team, followed by Great Britain and Canada ...
but in the last moment the Chinese men's team failed by a rupture of its favorite DONG, Dong...: So JAPAN won gold in front of China and Russia ...

The first day of the 28th Trampoline World Championships 2011 in the National Indoor Arena of Birmingham was more important than usual, because it was the day of the Olympic qualification in the "royal" individual trampoline disciplines of the men and the women.
Only the best eight athletes booked their direct tickets to the Olympic Summer Games, wich will be held in London in August 2012.
21 gymnasts more can use a second chance for qualification at the so called "Pre-Olympics", which will be held in January 2012 in the three-times Olympic city of London.

So it was a very important day, this Thursday in Birmingham and meanwhile the competitions in the National Indoor Arena have ended...

Nine months before the Olympic Games in London, Great Britain also is the host of the 28th TRAMPOLINE World Championships 2011 in Birmingham which also serves as Olympic qualification.
Birmingham has been the host of major gymnastics event already several times, e.g. of the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships 1993 or recently the Artistic Gymnastics European Championships in 2010.

C. 650 athletes and officials have already arrived in Birmingham. The competitions of the World Championships will take place from November 17th - 20th and after this will follow the World Age Group Competitions for the younger gymnasts.
