International Judge Courses

- The first seminary will be in Hölstein/Switzerland on January 21st in German language, followed by a
- second seminary, held in Rygge Norway February 4th in English language.

They enjoyed first the fringe events like a little trip through Flensburg and the surrounding and afterwards got the possibility to revue the successful development of the federation within a welcome.
Highlight of the anniversary was certainly the visit of the gala on Saturday evening. In cooperation with the show team WheelMotions, the IRV let old times rise. They performed a 20-year-old show of the former DTB-Schauturngruppe. On the basis of this show gymwheel started in a lot of countries and let to the international spreading of this kind of sport.
The evening ends with swinging music, dance and a buffet in a circle of artists and gymnasts.

IRV Convention
At this weekend the ceremony for the 10th anniversary took place, the IRV also held a conference to dicuss actual and further events.
After having held the World championships this year in spring, there will be an International training camp 2006 take place in Normal/Illinois (USA) at the end of next July. The invitation will be available on the homepage of the IRV within the next days.
In March 2006 the World Team Cup will be held in Flensburg and Kiel (GER), followed by a training course for the top two gymnast of each member state. They got already a special invition for this course.

Sigrun Leisner rendered outstanding services to wheelgymnastics. Not only at home in the Rhineland, but especially with big engagement on international level.
Thanks to her full activities events of the IRV always became a full success!
No matter if planning a competition or a trainings course, the IRV could always relay on her best efforts.
The IRV would like to say Thank You very much to her for all what she have done for wheel gymnastics and the international federation!

Israel plans membership of IRV

In the next World Championships 2007 in Austria the Israeli team wants to take part also in this disciplines and the team competition.

After 20 years of wheelgymnastics in Israel the responsibles want Israel to become a member of the International Wheel Gymnastics Federation IRV and hopes so to organize one of the next World Team-Cups in Israel with an Israeli team competing.

- Buetgenbach/BEL, Aachen/GER, May 5 -

Five of six Medals went to Germany, Bronze wins Japan
Senior`s All Around openend the 6th World Championships of Wheel Gymnastics 2005 in Buetgenbach/Belgium
World Champion in the senior‘s women Competition is Janin Oer from Germany ( 26,50 P.), followed by her teammate Nadine Burkhardt ( 25,7 P.) and the Bronze medal went to the Japanese Takako Hiwa ( 24,55 P.).
In the senior men's competition the German Achus Emeis became the world champion, with a score of 28.25 ponts. All medals went to Germany: Silver for the former world champion Julius Petri ( 27.8 P.) and Constantin Malchin won the bronze medal. Tomorrow, on Friday, the competition will be continue with the junior`s all-around competition and the senior‘s Finals.

Wednesday evening:... a glamorous Opening Ceremony!
The official opening gala was a spectacular event with a mixture of show, dance performances and wheel gymnastics. It took place in the German city of Aachen.

Overwhelming Dominance of German Juniors!
Germany dominates also the juniors competitions of the 6th World Championships of wheel gymnastics: They occupied all the first six places in femal and male juniors category!

Laura Stullich (28.00) of all-around, today, followed by her teammates Anne Pursche (25.90) and by Isabell Gramss (24.30) .
German also won the gold medal in the all-around male juniors class.
The new world champion is Simon Knapp ( 28.0), followed by Robert Maaser /GER (27.60) and Jonas Litzkirause (26.95) placed third...

CONGRESS REPORT...:
Austria - Host of the 7th World Champs 2007
After becoming a member of IRV in 2003 Austria presented now a applications for the World Championships 2007 in Salzburg. The General Assembly gave the WC 2007 to Austria.
The next international trainingcamp will take place in Illinois / USA from 19th – 30th July 2006.

The 6th World-Championships of Wheel Gymnastics will start today with a big Opening Ceremony in Aachen / Germany. Since more than one year the preparation for the show are going on.
On Thursday, 5th May, the competitions of the WORLD Championships in Bütgenbach / Belgium will start.

One of the main items on the agenda will be the election of a new president to replace the German Franz Obry, who stood down as president in 2004 in order to focus on national obligations as Chairman of the German Gymnastics Federation’s (DTB) Technical Committee for Wheel Gymnastics.

The DTB has nominated Paul Sieler as candidate for the IRV presidency. Paul Sieler has been vice president of the IRV for many years.
