After the second year, they were taken by the prestigious circus-school „Centre Nationale des Arts du Cirque“ (CNAC) in Châlons-en-Champagne.
During the last two years, the two students could practice nearly every day and improved in her main-subject.
Now, they are able to do elements of highest difficulty, compared to the competition program. Further, they invented new, spectacular elements with the wheel.


Last week, Tom Neal und Thomas Reudet did her final examen with the „Présentation Technique“, a circus show, created by the members of the graduating class. The main focus of the show was to present a good technique in front of the audience.

Not only the coach Monika Vaethbrueckner, but also the audience, among a lot of circus professors and alumni of the French circus school, were sold on the presentation of Thomas Reudet and Tom Neal. The newly artists with diploma will have a short summer-break. After the holidays, the whole graduating-class will prepare a special circus and theater show, directed by a renowned French director and choreographer.

Jo Russer from Flensburg / GER dicussed the possibilities of help to introduce wheel gynmastics.
Also Achus Emeis, also from Flensburg / GER, wants to help with trainings courses in Charenton.
The german wheel gymnast Birgit Knuth, who lives and works since four years in Paris, is also ready to support and build up a group in France in the next future.

For many years, Nicci Wilks was member - onstage and offstage - of the ensemble of Circus Oz, the biggest australian circus. One year ago, she decided to work freelance. During the last months, she played a part in several productions of theater and circus, where she showed her multifaceted artistic skills. She did wheel-acts and inspired the australian public with her 'mouse-act' in a 'rhoeni', a small wheel without handles and boards, normally used in basic training lessons for children.

In addition to her performance, Nicci Wilks is teacher of the australian circus school 'National Institute of Circus Arts' (NICA). There she passes her knowledge in wheel-gymnastics on her students.

Friederike Schindler (GER) won Gold in all Final Disciplins
Despite pressure from Israel, Norway and Switzerland, Friederike Schindler (GER) is the new World Junior Champion in all three disciplins.

In the Junior boys finals Simon Knapp /GER won the gold medal in straight line and shared the gold with Jermaine Dotson / USA in the vault final. Marten Canisius / GER is the new World Junior Champion in spiral.

In the context of the Award Ceremony Vicepresident Peter de Jong (GER) was offiziell nominate to the first IRV Vicepresident of honor and the IRV said good bye to the general secretary Hans Schmid.

Today at 7.30 p.m. the World Team Championships take place in Lillehammer. Germany, Japan and Norway are qualified.
Tomorrow the WC are closed with the Disciplin Finals of juniors and seniors.
