Wheel Gymnastics: New obligatory exercises updated!

The Society of German Wheel Gymnastics published an updated version of the new obligatory exercises (compulsories).
The exercises themselves were not changed. Only the description of the exercises and the transitions were duly appropriated to the contract.

World Team Cup in the sign of '100 Years Sports Bayer Leverkusen'
The Wheel gymnastics World Cup is one of a series of events or the 100th years annual of sports engagement of the German chemical trust BAYER.
The world cup will take place in the U.-Haberland Hall in Leverkusen on April 3 to 4.
100 years sports tradions, but wheel gymnastics started foremost two years agai, but there work a very good team of coaches and staffs...

Israel and the Netherlands canceled their participation in World Team-Cup
After both gymnasts from Israel an the Netherlands canceled their participation in World Team-Cup 2004 Jermaine Dotson (USA), the World Champion 2003 in vault junior class, will join the All Star-Team.
Tami Livni (Israel) start allready her military service and Therese Verdoorn (Netherlands) finished her gymnast career.

Wheel Gymnastics: All Japanese Nationals 2012

Seven month before the 10th World Championships of Wheel Gymnastics 2013, which will held for the first time outside of Europe, in Chikago (USA), one of the top-nation in this gymnastics discipline organized it's 18th All Japan National Championships 2012.


In Tsukuba nearby the Japanese capital Tokyo  took part about 80 gymnasts from the whole country.
In men’s elite category local hero Yasuhiko Takahashi from the Tsukuba University won the all-around for the first time, but also the spiral and the  vault final. The winner in straight line was Kazuya Ezuka.
On the elite's female category the winner was also a hero from the team of Tsukuba University: Yuki Matsuura won the all-around for the first time, but also spiral and vault.
The winner in straight line and vault was Aya Horiguti, spiral was Takako Hiwa.

Wheel Gymnastics: Vote for Franz Obry in Germany

Last weekend the general meeting of all leaders of the regional German departements of wheel gymnastics, took place in Bergisch Gladbach, the regional leaders vote for Franz Obry.
The election of the chairman of the technical committee of Germany took a surprising course: On a clear majority, the regional leaders voted for Franz Obry as chairman, who is also the president of the International Federation (IRV). Obry got 9 votes, the rival candidate Dirk Balkenohl got 1 vote, on 2 abstentions from voting

PREVIEW: 2nd World Team Cup 2004 of Wheel Gymnastics

After the 1st World Team-Cup 2002 in Rimpar (Germany now this year the 2nd World Team-Cup will be held in Leverkusen and Wiesbaden / Germany from 2004, April, the 3rd to 4th.
The World Team Cup 2004 will be a team competition to which the four best teams from the last World Championships 2003 in Lillehammer (NOR) are invited.
Titleholder and favorite Germany is expecting the teams from Japan, Norway and Switzerland...

9th Japanese Championships of Wheel Gymnastics 2003

Half a year after the World Championships in Lillehammer the 9th Japan Champioship of wheel gymnastics 2003 was held on November 15-16th in NUMAZU in the middle of Japan.
About sixty gymnasts from the whole country took part. In senior men's category Satoshi Motoya (Tsukuba University) won the all-around , straightline and also spiral. The winner in vault was Yasuaki Yoshikawa.
On the other hand in senior women's category Yukako Fukase (Tsukuba University) won the all around , spiral and vault. Nozomi Yosida took the 1st place in straightline....

World Champions dominated
Worldchampions also won 42nd German Championchips of wheel gymnastics.
Half a year after the WCh in Lillehammer Norway, the 42nd German Championchips took place on October, 11th in Geislingen /Steige.
b>Janin Oer (VfB Fallersleben), the Worldchampion 2003 in straight and spiral, and Julius Petri (TSV Taunusstein) , the Worldchampion in all around, straight and spiral, continued their triumphal procession. In absence of title-holder Julia Pohling (TSV Taunusstein) Janin Oer won the all around and all finals....

7th World Championchips of Wheel Gymnastics 2005
After the World Championchips 2005 of Wheel Gymnastics were give to Belgium (VDT -Verband Deutschsprachiger Turnvereine in Belgium) during the last WCh's in Lillehammer / Norway.
Today took place the very first press conference in Aachen, Germany.
The 7th World Championchips of Wheel Gymnastics (Rhoenrad) will be held 2005, May 5th to 7th. The Championship will take place in Eupen /Belgium and Aachen /Germany (- in the so called area 'Euregio').

Just in time befor the world championships 2003 the book „Rhoenrad-Report“ is published in German language. The book contents interesting reports about many different subjects, concerning wheel-gymnastics.
<< The author, Ines Sebesta, searched for months and spoke with many gymnasts, coaches, responsible persons and fans of wheel-gymnastics to get as much information as possible. With the interviews, reports, comments and funny stories the author wants „...to waken the interest for an fascinating gymnastic apparatus ... and for the various skills of this kind of sports.
