At the 38th Trampoline World Championships 2025 in Pamplona (ESP), Chinese athletes dominated the Olympic discipline on the final day:
In the men's competition, China's WANG Zisai became world champion for the first time, ahead of Ruben PADILLA from the USA, who had already become world champion in the double mini trampoline the day before. In the women's competition, Wang's compatriot HU Yicheng won her first individual world title ahead of Japan's Hikaru MORI, who won her third world title in the individual discipline after 2019 and 2022.
The men's synchronised trampoline title went to BELARUS (AIN) ahead of Japan II and China II. The mixed synchronised title, contested for the first time at a World Championships, was won by the Belarusian pair K. Yarshova/S. Yaskievich (AIN) ahead of Japan I and Azerbaijan. In the women's event, the duo JAPAN II prevailed ahead of Great Britain and China I.
* These World Championships, held in Spain for the first time, took place from November 05 to 09, with titles being awarded not only in the Olympic discipline of individual trampoline (men & women) but also in synchronised trampoline and, for the very first time, in mixed synchronised trampoline.
Double mini trampoline (DMT) and tumbling were also traditionally part of the World Championships programme. More than 350 athletes from 39 nations travelled to Pamplona.

* P r e v i e w : Great Britain's Bryony Page, who completed her Olympic collection with gold at the Bercy Arena in France, second-placed Viyaleta Bardzilouskaya, and Canada's Sophiane Methot (bronze), all face off in the women's edition, while the Tokyo 2020 Olympic champion, Zhu Xueying from People's Republic of China, who finished fourth in Paris, also competes in Spain.
Mori Hikaru, Japan's first trampoline gymnast to win an individual title at the world championships, looks to add a third top spot to her 2019 and 2022 triumphs. She'll be competing against friend and recent training partner, Page, who is the reigning world champion from 2023 and also the 2021 gold medallist.
Camilla Gomes celebrates competing at a 10th world championships, while Jessica Stevens, who made history as the first American woman in 49 years to earn a world medal in individual trampoline, with bronze last time out, also returns to the fray.
The defending champion (Birmingham 2024) in the men's edition, China's Yan Langyu, also the Olympic bronze medallist from Paris 2024, is aiming for a third title after also winning in 2021. Yan has wowed this season with nine triple somersaults out of a 10-skill routine at a domestic competition earlier this year, but he'll still have to go some to beat two-time Olympic champion Ivan Litvinovich who has recorded the highest score so far in 2025. Yan's compatriot and world and Olympic silver medallist, Wang Zisai, is aiming to again be in the mix, while New Zealand's history-making world champion from 2021, Dylan Schmidt, also the bronze medallist at Tokyo 2020, continues his trampoline journey into a new season.
All but one of the eight men who contested the men’s trampoline final in France's capital will be competing, while Ruben Padilla, one of the United States of America's top hopes in individual trampoline, is also the reigning world champion in double mini-trampoline and could come away with multiple medals in individual, mixed synchro, DMT, and the team event.
At the first trampoline world championships to take place in Spain, the home gymnasts will also pay tribute to former national coach, Pablo Hinojar, who passed away unexpectedly at the end of 2024.

* Quali.-: Reigning world champion Yan Langyu (CHN) finished second in the men’s competition after presenting an exercise replete with triple somersaults for 65.520 while managing to hint that he could do even more. Yan’s 21.2 difficulty score was only a tenth behind Litvinovich, and he may have been being conservative. Nineteen-year-old Gabriel Albuquerque (POR), fourth at the 2023 World Championships and fifth in Paris last summer, was third after amassing 64.490 for his high-flying routine. Olympic silver medallist Wang Zisai (CHN) moved from sixth to fourth with an improved second routine.
