Third Change since 2004 ....
 The Chairman and Chief Executiv Officer of the 'Vneshtorgbank', the nextlargest Russian bank, Andrey KOSTIN (49) was elected new President of the 'Russian Gymnastics Federation' on 19 May at an election meeting of this national public organisation.

Kostin is the third Russian gymnastics president since 2004 in this top position, after the retirement of Leonid Arkaev (December 2004) and the last change from Yuri Titov to Yuri Dedykh in January 2006....

The 'Vneshtorgbank' informed, that
The program presented by Andrey Kostin sets forth main priorities aimed at developing the Russian Competitive Gymnastics Federation, including sport school enhanced logistics, improved labour conditions of coaches and technicians, support to Olympic veterans.

In addition, considerably advanced selection activities and increased number of sport competitions of a variety of levels are envisaged by the programme to make the competitive gymnastics more popular as a sport modality.
At the meeting Andrey Kostin said that
“there are considerable opportunities to secure the reputation of the Russian competitive gymnastics. However, today it is extremely important to keep the unique sportsperson formation school, the Russian sport coaching traditions by a well-deserved financing to both the professional and the amateur youth sport. In this case only we will succeed in continuing glorious traditions of great victories and at the highest international level.'
Vneshtorgbank gives financial support to both the Russian Olympic movement and many regional sports professional organisations.
The Bank is the Official Partner of the Russian Olympic Committee, the Russian Olympic Volleyball Team, gives financial assistance to the Russian Football Premier League, acts as the General Sponsor of CSKA professional football club, the Russian Figure Skating Federation, the Russian Alpine Skiing and Snowboard Federation, and Dynamo-Saint Petersburg Basketball Club.
